Seminar at Ocupação 9 de Julho: Occupy and Dwell

Esse seminário integrou a agenda de eventos, oficinas e atividades sobre apropriação e ocupação que ocorreramm em Novembro e Dezembro na Ocupação 9 de Julho e Hotel Cambridge, espaços parceiros da 11a Bienal de Arquitetura de São Paulo. Esta parceria com a Bienal de Arquitetura convida o público a ter uma vivência do cotidiano nestes edifícios, conhecer e vivenciar o trabalho realizado pelo movimento por moradia, questionar a dimensão social da arquitetura a partir de suas formas de colaborar e refletir sobre o imaginário das ocupações na metrópole.

Este seminário, organizado em parceria com o Instituto de Arquitectura holandês Het Nieuwe Instituut, a Ocupação 9 de Julho e com apoio do Consulado Geral do Reino dos Países Baixos em São Paulo, do Studio-X Rio e do Cities Alliance, propõe uma conversa sobre a arquitetura da apropriação no universo da ocupação, debruçando-se sobre diferentes formas de organização social e outras noções de propriedade, e provocando uma reflexão sobre o papel do desenho dentro desses processos. O evento convidou o público a uma vivência dentro das ocupações.

This seminar is part of the agenda of events, workshops and activities on appropriation and occupation that took place from November to December at Ocupação 9 de Julho and Hotel Cambridge, partner spaces of the 11th Biennial of Architecture of São Paulo. This partnership with the Architecture Biennial invited the public to have an everyday experience in these buildings, to know and experience the work carried out by the housing movement, to question the social dimension of architecture based on their ways of collaborating and reflecting on the imaginary of occupations in the metropolis.
This seminar, organized in partnership with the Dutch architecture institute Het Nieuwe Instituut, Occupation 9 de Julho and with the support of the General Consulate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in São Paulo, Studio X and Cities Alliance, proposes a conversation about architecture of appropriation in the universe of occupation, focusing on different forms of social organization and other notions of property, and provoking a reflection on the role of the design within these processes. The event invited the public to an experience within the occupations.
